There's very little we know about Google Discover. 🤏
— Naman Nepal (@growthpolice) March 12, 2023
This YMYL site publishes 3-5 articles a month and it gets on Google Discover every single time.
🚀One article got 18k clicks.
The main keyword had a search volume of 2.2k/mo.
Here's what I did differently: 🧵 pic.twitter.com/pGu7oh3wDx
1. Simple, non-click baity titles.

We started changing titles to be simpler and non-click baity. The first one we did was an ultimate guide. It clicked!
The "best" list did 18k.
2. Images

We used as many original images as we could. 3-5 per article depending on the length (~2000 words).
All images were 1200x800 px and had max-image-preview:large enabled.
3. We looked at what type of content was getting shared on social media.

This guided our entire content strategy.
We didn't go after search volume.
We went after what was trending or could trend for at least the next 6-12 months.
We didn't go after short-lived hypes.
4. Some technical SEO changes we made-
— Naman Nepal (@growthpolice) March 12, 2023
1. Unblock feed from robots.txt
2. Specified feed in the HTML for all article pages
3. Gave the feed a name "[Category] Blog" rather than "[Site] Feed"
